SEA-SPEED V 10 X hard film (Polysiloxane), silicone foul release coating along with our Mil-SPECSeapoxy 73 marine epoxy primer is designed for application to steel or aluminum hulls on all types of commercial vessels, including Container ships, bulkers, Ro-Ro vessels, Dredgers, Oil tankers and product tankers as well as ferries. Seacoat’s SEA-SPEED is an ideal alternative to soft duplex silicone foul release coatings or Traditional TOXIC ablative antifouling or SPC antifouling paint. Boat bottom paints of the future will need to environmentally compliant and contribute to increased hull efficiency.
Seacoat’s marine coating technology is highly durable (resistant to abrasion and impact). The coating has a very low coefficient of friction, as well as extremely low surface energy resulting in reduced drag, and improved hull and fuel efficiency. The SEA-SPEED V 10 X is extremely smooth, with a surface roughness of under ten (10) microns. See testing certification section for more details. Depending on the vessel design, increases in speed and fuel economy up to ten (10%) may be realized compared to conventional antifouling paints.
The polysiloxane (Silicone) technology yields a medium gloss slick surface that is non-stick minimizing adhesion of marine growth. Unlike conventional bottom paint, SEA-SPEED V 10 X can be underwater scrubbed without damaging the coating or releasing toxic cuprous oxides or biocides into the aquatic environment. Whereas conventional bottom painting products may last several years, SEA-SPEED is a non-depleting material that does not polish or ablate. Guaranteed for 10 years and can be applied in New building or retro-fitted in Dry docking
